Duties of the Service Advisor:
- Manage the entire customer journey from booking through to vehicle handover
- Handle service, repair, and MOT bookings efficiently and accurately
- Prepare detailed job cards, estimates, and repair authorisations
- Liaise effectively between customers and workshop technicians
- Provide regular updates, explanations, and advice to customers
- Coordinate parts ordering and communicate with suppliers
- Process invoices, payments, and warranty claims
- Maintain a professional, welcoming reception and waiting area
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Service Advisor in a franchise or independent garage
- Good understanding of vehicle servicing, repairs, and MOT procedures
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities
- IT-literate, with the ability to adapt to management systems
- Hold a full, clean UK driving license
