You will work across multiple schools, providing day-to-day cover with the potential for longer-term or permanent roles in the Bath and wider Somerset area.
Duties as English Teacher:
- Deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages
- Follow pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support pupils’ learning and progress during cover lessons
- Provide feedback to school staff as required
Ideal English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English across Key Stages is desirable
- Strong classroom management and adaptability
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or have one registered on the Update Service
