The Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialty Doctor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. This is a substantive post. The post-holder will work alongside two Consultants and an Associate Specialist. The Department serves a population of 350,000.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertaking clinics.
- Contributing time and effort to day‑to‑day clinical matters that may arise.
- Taking a teamwork approach to relationships with other departments, clinic and theatre staff.
- Managing patients under the care of the consultants; joint clinics may be available.
The programme follows the curriculum recommended by the SAC in Oral Surgery and will include clinical study and opportunities for research. The appointee will be encouraged to participate in formal research and audit projects. The salary will depend on qualifications and experience. The appointment will commence as soon as possible. The terms of appointment are as for NHS Trust Doctor.
