This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in ground investigation to apply their expertise within a commercial and estimating capacity. The Estimator will be part of a collaborative and experienced team, reviewing tender opportunities, preparing competitive estimates, and supporting the continued growth of the business. The role is based in Warrington and covers the North West region; it is full‑time and requires travel to project sites.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying contractual risk at Tender stage.
- Attending Tender site walkovers.
- Writing claims and giving contractual advice to the engineering department.
- Dealing with all aspects of small to mid‑sized Tenders independently at the discretion of the Commercial Director.
- Attending contractual meetings.
- Reviewing tender opportunities and preparing competitive estimates.
- Travel to project sites as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong technical background in ground investigation.
- Quantity Surveying or Geoscience degree (or related).
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS, PRM).
- Strong numerical, analytical and IT skills.
- Accurate preparation and processing of contracts within the geotechnical engineering and drilling industry.
- Full UK driving licence.
