The post holder will undertake meeting and greeting patients, the monitoring, recording and booking of appointments and managing a busy telephone line, the receiving of all incoming mail and ensuring action is taken appropriately, processing clinical letters and other correspondence. Alongside undertaking a wide range of administrative duties. You will work in conjunction with other team members; ensuring administrative support is available in our busy outpatient department.
This will include liaison with multi-disciplinary team members, other health professionals, GP’s, social workers, service users, carers and other appropriate agencies. It is essential that applicants are able to work on their own initiative, demonstrate effective organisational and administrative skills. Provide an efficient service to Barberry Outpatients ensuring that all enquiries and booking requests are processed in a timely and efficient manner under circumstances of minimal supervision.
Assist in the booking of outpatient appointments for Specialties with guidance from the Outpatient Supervisor. The post holder will assist in the development of a smooth running appointment booking system for new and existing patients within the service. The post holder will ensure effective communication pathways exist in a manner, which positively reflects the values of the organisation.
