A full-time temporary role from June 2026 until the end of the summer term, with potential to become permanent. The role supports pupils across mixed year groups, ranging from primary through to Key Stage 4, helping them access learning, manage routines, and develop confidence.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with special educational needs across mixed year groups from primary to Key Stage 4.
- Work one-to-one and in small groups to help pupils access learning.
- Adapt activities and resources to meet individual learning needs.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement using consistent approaches.
- Assist pupils during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times.
- Work closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams.
- Monitor and give feedback on pupil progress and well-being.
- Help maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment.
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times.
Qualifications
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (essential).
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
- Experience working across a range of age groups is desirable.
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Flexible and adaptable to different classroom settings.
- Open to temporary work with the potential for a permanent role.

Salary
