Position: Teaching Assistant (Grade 4/5)

Location: Cambridge Road Community Primary and Nursery School, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire

Contract: Permanent, 32.5 hours per week (8:30 – 3:30 approximate), term time only.

Salary: Grade 4/5, depending on qualifications and experience (£25,185 - £28,141, pro rata, pay award pending).

Responsibilities:

  • Support children to become independent, co‑operative learners and identify and remove barriers to learning.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering sessions.
  • Carry out small group and one‑to‑one support sessions outside of class to raise attainment.
  • Support social and emotional growth of pupils.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, preferably at Level 3, achieved through a recognised training provider.
  • Experience working with children with additional learning needs preferred.
  • Commitment to high standards and confidence in working as part of a motivated team.
