Location: Ellesmere Port, Cheshire CH65

Job purpose: To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer: Our client is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant in the Ellesmere Port area to provide support for their 10-year-old daughter who is autistic and non-verbal for 4 hours per week.

Main duties:

  • Social duties: Support with accessing activities at home and in the community
  • Always keep client safe
  • Encourage engagement with activities and having fun
  • Personal care: Support with personal care when required. These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Values: We are looking for someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel and understands equality and diversity.

Specific requirements: Someone with previous experience of working with children with autism or learning difficulties. Personal Assistant must have good time management skills and be willing to learn more about positive behaviour support and willing to undertake training.

Hours of work: 4 hours per week

Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour

Skills, qualifications, and experience Essential:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own car and appropriate insurance
  • Previous experience is a must
  • Enhanced DBS check will be required
  • Ability to support individuals with complex needs.

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References. This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
