A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual with a passion for community services to join us as a Deputy Head of Clinical Services. With operational responsibility for a defined portfolio of services, we seek someone with excellent communication skills, strong time‑management and independence, and a proven background in service development and clinical service management. The successful candidate will be highly visible, able to handle a range of operational issues and a good team player. You will join us at a time of growth as we develop our services and improve care by working across organisational boundaries. Applications will be considered from individuals who do not have a clinical qualification if they can demonstrate significant clinical service management experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior leadership oversight to a defined portfolio of services
- Provide leadership, support, supervision, appraisal and performance management to teams and Team Managers
- Contribute to Trustwide projects and lead on projects relevant to your service area
- Ensure the provision of safe and effective services
- Work collaboratively with other leaders to influence the strategic development of services using in‑depth knowledge of the service
- Use data to support decision making
- Ensure services are delivered within their financial envelope and remain within budget
- Participate in the on‑call rota
