Location: Bristol. Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm.

About the role

We’re looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a commercial/industrial site, ensuring building services operate safely, reliably and efficiently.

Role Responsibilities

  • Undertake planned and reactive maintenance on electrical building services including LV systems, lighting, small power, distribution, BMS and associated equipment.
  • Support the safe operation and repair of all M&E and fabric services on site, working within Permit to Work systems, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, including out-of-hours and weekend work where intrusive maintenance is required.
  • Proactively identify faults, raise health & safety concerns and support energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Use CAFM systems and handheld devices to complete reports, update work orders and monitor subcontractor performance.

Required Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to work towards).

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience (ideally 5 years) working within electrical building services in commercial or industrial environments.
  • Good all-round knowledge of mechanical building services.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work independently and as part of a site team.
  • IT-literate, numerate and comfortable using CAFM and digital reporting tools.
