We are seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our team for a 24‑month fixed‑term contract working 40 hours per week based in or near the Wirral. The salary will reflect the National Minimum Wage for apprentices.
Responsibilities
- Attend training and work toward the craft qualification.
- Trace, diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
- Carry out routine safety checks and programmed maintenance and servicing.
- Repair or replace electrical fittings.
- Communicate with clients to arrange and carry out work.
- Leave homes clean and safe, collect tenant signatures after jobs.
- Support colleagues, build relationships across the business.
- Safely operate tools, machinery and vehicles.
- Keep accurate records of work and materials used.
- Follow safety procedures, including reporting hazards.
- Complete paperwork accurately and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Attend college as required and submit all coursework on time.
- Work flexibly, including out‑of‑hours if needed, and adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Genuine interest in working in the electrical sector.
- 16‑18 year‑olds: Level 4 in English & Maths (C grade or above, or functional skills level 2).
- 19 year‑olds: Level 4 in English & Maths (C grade or above, or functional skills level 2).
- Positive approach to completing relevant courses and qualifications.
- Flexibility and a positive attitude toward varied work and schedules.
- Excellent customer service skills and punctuality.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
