We are seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our team for a 24‑month fixed‑term contract working 40 hours per week based in or near the Wirral. The salary will reflect the National Minimum Wage for apprentices.

Responsibilities

  • Attend training and work toward the craft qualification.
  • Trace, diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
  • Carry out routine safety checks and programmed maintenance and servicing.
  • Repair or replace electrical fittings.
  • Communicate with clients to arrange and carry out work.
  • Leave homes clean and safe, collect tenant signatures after jobs.
  • Support colleagues, build relationships across the business.
  • Safely operate tools, machinery and vehicles.
  • Keep accurate records of work and materials used.
  • Follow safety procedures, including reporting hazards.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Attend college as required and submit all coursework on time.
  • Work flexibly, including out‑of‑hours if needed, and adhere to all health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Genuine interest in working in the electrical sector.
  • 16‑18 year‑olds: Level 4 in English & Maths (C grade or above, or functional skills level 2).
  • 19 year‑olds: Level 4 in English & Maths (C grade or above, or functional skills level 2).
  • Positive approach to completing relevant courses and qualifications.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude toward varied work and schedules.
  • Excellent customer service skills and punctuality.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
