We have an exciting opportunity to come and join our Care of the Elderly team. If you are a healthcare assistant looking to work in a fast-paced, energetic, caring and supportive environment then this is the post for you.

The post holder will be responsible for assisting the qualified nursing and medical staff in carrying out assigned tasks, involving direct nursing care in support of and supervised by a Registered Nurse/medical staff.

Important Notice on Visa Sponsorship Eligibility: Please note that whilst the trust does offer sponsorship, this role is unfortunately not eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Health and Care Worker visa route. This is due to the position not meeting the minimum salary threshold of Β£25,000 per annum and/or the required skill level set by UK Visas and Immigration.   • Assist qualified nursing staff, as directed by the Nurse in charge and ascertain treatments to be carried out.
  • Report on general condition / appearance of patients to the Senior Nurse on duty.
  • Maintain personal contact with patients through conversation and during treatments.
  • Maintain high standards of quality patient care and staff morale by personal example, good conduct and appearance.
  • Participate in quality initiatives at Ward and departmental level.
  • Attend Ward/departmental meetings and study lectures/training as required.
  • Maintain good standards of Department housekeeping under the direction of the Ward Sister.
  • Make Senior Sister aware of any problems/worries relating to sphere/area of work.

N/B Before performing these tasks, proven training must be received and documented in the training pack.
