About this job:
Full‑time, fixed‑term until 31/08/2027. Working 39 weeks per year (term time + INSET). The ideal person will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting students in and outside the classroom, acting as a professional role model, challenging and motivating them.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted interventions to identified students needing additional support.
- Maintain high expectations as directed and help identify personal aspirations.
- Conduct pre‑planned lessons to small groups.
- Promote the emotional, physical and educational development of pupils, including those with special needs.
- Build strong positive relationships with students, staff and families.
- Role model professionalism, positivity and care.
Qualifications & experience:
- Experience supporting pupils with individual needs, particularly those with EHCPs.
- Independent, proactive and adaptable to changing needs.
- Clear communication verbally and in writing.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
- Good level of general education.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to work towards it.
