Salary: £95.00 - £115.00 per day (Experience Dependent)

Contract: Full-Time, Term Time (08:30 - 15:30, Monday - Friday)

Are you a nurturing and energetic individual passionate about early childhood education? We are seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team in a mainstream primary setting. This is a vital role where you will support our youngest learners during their most formative years, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can flourish through play and discovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learning Through Play: Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum by facilitating engaging, play-based activities that promote communication, language, and physical development.
  • Individualised Support: Provide one-on-one and small group intervention, helping children meet their early learning goals and supporting those with additional needs.
  • Classroom Management: Assist the lead teacher in creating a purposeful and orderly learning environment, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Observation & Tracking: Contribute to pupil 'learning journeys' by observing and recording progress, sharing key insights with the class teacher and parents.
  • Social & Emotional Wellbeing: Help children build confidence, develop social skills, and learn to interact positively with their peers.
  • Care & Safety: Ensure the welfare of all pupils, assisting with personal care, snack times, and ensuring a high standard of hygiene and safety throughout the day.

Requirements & Experience

  • Experience: A minimum of 6 months of experience working with children in a UK school or EYFS setting (Nursery or Reception experience highly preferred/placements & volunteers accepted).
  • Compliance: An Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) and eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Communication: Good written & verbal English. Excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with young children, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Attitude: A genuine passion for early years education and a commitment to long-term, full-time work.
  • References: Professional references from recent employers.
