Responsibilities

  • Offer one-on-one and group support to students with complex learning and developmental needs

  • Provide support with personal care and health needs, where appropriate
  • Collaborate with class teachers and other professionals to ensure students receive the highest quality support
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere where every student feels encouraged and empowered
  • Help students build independence and self-confidence through hands-on support and positive reinforcement

What We’re Looking For / Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or adults with special educational needs is preferred, but not essential
  • A caring and patient nature, with a strong desire to help children overcome challenges and achieve their potential
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies
  • Flexibility and creativity in supporting students with different learning styles and needs
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop in your role

  • Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or similar, are advantageous
