Location: Stourbridge

As the Remedials Project Engineer within our Service Department, you will be assisting with managing a selection of service remedial works on fire protection systems projects based nationally.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and Site Managers/Supervisors
  • Assisting with the procurement of labour, equipment and fabrication
  • Assisting with the cost control of contracts/projects
  • Maintaining compliance of projects with issued and approved method statements and risk assessments
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed and kept up to date
  • Preparing cost estimates, quotations and technical submissions
  • Providing technical support and guidance to field engineers and installers
  • Managing project documentation including RAMS, permits and completion certificates
  • Resolving technical issues and escalating where necessary

Essential Skills

  • Experience of commercial sprinkler installations
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Understanding of Sprinkler related standards (BS EN12845, LPC Rules & BS9990)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well using own initiative as well as within a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Desirable Skills

  • CSCS/CCNSG Card
  • LPCB Design qualification
