We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and proactive supervisor to join our Portering team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our facilities by providing safe, efficient, and courteous support to staff, visitors, and patients/customers. You will have great leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Portering team, showing great leadership skills.
  • Provide support and assistance in busier peak times.
  • Health and safety training.
  • Assist the Manager and Assistant Manager.
  • Organise training to take place with the Portering Team.
  • Use systems like Carps, Excel and Teams.
  • Check departments and work with department leads.
  • Organise, plan and cover rotas and sickness.
  • Motivate and encourage great performance.
  • Work to support meeting targets.
  • Drive the team, leading by example.
  • Organise sickness meetings and support with disciplinary meetings.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Safely transport equipment, goods, and/or patients between departments.
  • Assist with deliveries, collections, and waste disposal.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in designated areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and service users.
  • Always follow health and safety procedures.
  • Manage gas changes and stock control.
