About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons for individuals and small groups, following our curriculum framework and teaching up to GCSE level in a core subject.
- Supporting nurture‑based programmes that help students build confidence, emotional literacy and self‑belief.
- Monitoring, recording and reporting on student progress, ensuring every learner is supported to achieve their potential.
- Creating a stimulating, well‑organised classroom environment that celebrates learning and encourages curiosity.
- Designing and reviewing Individual Education Plans, Behaviour Plans and personalised learning pathways.
- Leading on subject development across key stages as agreed with the Headteacher.
- Working collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, care staff and colleagues across departments to ensure a consistent, holistic approach.
- Managing challenging behaviour with empathy and structure, helping students move from external regulation to self‑control.
- Ensuring student safety and wellbeing at all times, both on and off site, in line with safeguarding and risk assessment procedures.
- Contributing to whole‑school development, innovation and continuous improvement.
