We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Hot Air Welder. This role offers hands‑on training and the opportunity to develop specialist skills in the manufacturing and fitting of vehicle side curtains.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate hot air welding equipment (full training provided)
- Manufacture and fit side curtains for commercial vehicles
- Measure materials accurately using both Metric and Imperial systems
- Work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Use a range of power tools confidently and safely
- Work at height, including on ladders, to fit and install products
- Handle and lift heavy materials as part of daily tasks
- Maintain high attention to detail to ensure product quality
- Collaborate with the production team and follow job specifications
What We’re Looking For
- Good understanding of English (verbal and written)
- Mathematical aptitude and ability to work with measurements
- Confidence in using power tools
- Comfortable working at heights
- Due to nature of product, heavy lifting will be required
- Flexible with working hours – overtime and occasional Saturday work required
- Possess a clean UK driving licence and age 25+ for insurance purposes
- Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn new skills
Desirable
- Previous experience in manufacturing, textiles, or welding is advantageous but not essential – full training will be provided.
