The role: The Dispatcher is responsible for managing proactive and reactive resource demands, creating a balanced and achievable schedule of works, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. This role plays a key part in maintaining service levels, supporting field operations, and keeping customers informed throughout the delivery of their service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage proactive and reactive resource demands to create a balanced, achievable schedule of works.
- Allocate work effectively to Operational Resource within agreed SLAs, using a range of works management systems and tools.
- Keep customers at the centre of all activity, ensuring timely communication and clear explanations of required steps to complete their work.
- Jeopardy‑manage workflow throughout the day, redistributing tasks as priorities and service levels change.
- Liaise with operational team leaders and field teams to provide updates on delivery progress and available capacity.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute ideas through problem‑solving and active participation in daily stand‑ups.
- Attend business meetings on behalf of the Dispatch Team and take ownership of actions that support strategic improvements.
- Support other areas of the Customer Operations Hub as required to meet business needs.
