We are looking for a Digital PR Apprentice to help grow our team and join an industry-renowned team of specialists. Working alongside the team, we are looking for someone ambitious who is looking to take the next step in their career. Our ideal candidate will be someone who wants to deliver the best results for our clients.

Weekly Hours Worked: 35 hours. Monday - Friday (9-5). 3 to 4 days in the office.

Description of company: Named after the original North Star, Vega combines experience, data and insight to understand clients’ challenges and produce focused media solutions to deliver growth.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the Digital PR team with campaign ideation, press releases, media outreach, asset creation and data analysis.
  • Research, contact and build relationships with journalists, including creating media lists and outreach lists.
  • Monitor trends and news stories to identify opportunities for reactive PR coverage.
  • Use media databases to source relevant journalist contacts and support outreach activity.
  • Assist with turning data and research into interesting stories for digital PR campaigns.
  • Support the creation of client materials, marketing decks, reports and campaign templates.
  • Work across a range of client sectors, adapting to different brand guidelines and campaign requirements.
  • Collaborate with the wider Digital, Media and Strategy teams to support campaign delivery and learn broader digital marketing skills.

Future Prospects: Opportunity to progress into a Digital PR Assistant role after successful completion of the apprenticeship. Long-term development opportunities across Digital PR, content marketing, SEO, media, strategy and client services. The role will provide experience across a range of clients and industries, supporting career progression within the wider Vega team.

Training Provided: Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience. Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Digital Marketing and AI Executive and Certified Digital Marketing Professional by DMI.

Skills Required:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good attention to detail when handling data, contact lists and written content.
  • Ability to write clearly and adapt tone of voice for different clients.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, presentations and basic reporting documents.
  • Interest in PR, media, digital marketing, SEO, social media or journalism.
