We are sourcing a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician on behalf of our client, a reputable nationwide automotive dealer group, for their premium franchise-approved dealership in Cheltenham.

This Diagnostic Vehicle Technician role offers the opportunity to work within a professional environment, providing expert diagnostic and repair services on a diverse range of vehicles.

The Diagnostic Vehicle Technician will play a key part in maintaining high standards of service, supporting ongoing team development, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Starting salary up to £44,958 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications
  • Performance-based bonus scheme with on-target annual earnings exceeding £62,958 - 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with service

  • Working hours from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays on a rota basis from 8:00am to 1:00pm Duties of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct complex diagnostic, warranty, and repair work on a wide variety of vehicles
  • Perform EV work (if qualified) and hydraulic repairs, adhering to manufacturer standards
  • Utilise diagnostic tools and software efficiently to identify and resolve difficult issues
  • Support and guide less experienced technicians within the workshop
  • Maintain high levels of quality and productivity in a busy franchise environment
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet operational targets and provide excellent customer service Requirements of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
  • Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Experienced in diagnostic work, including electrical and mechanical systems
  • Trained to a Diagnostic Technician level, with exposure to complex diagnostic and servicing tasks
  • Ability to perform EV repairs (if qualified) and hydraulic repairs safely and competently
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Committed, reliable, and able to produce high-quality work under pressure
  • Good team player willing to share knowledge and support colleagues
