Immediate start – full‑time English Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) at a specialist SEN school in Wiltshire, supporting pupils with ASC, SEMH and behavioural challenges.
Responsibilities
- Deliver planned English interventions and small group sessions
- Support students within English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff to raise attainment and engagement in English
- Provide targeted support to pupils with ASC and behavioural needs
- Assist with lesson planning, preparation and assessment as required
- Promote positive behaviour and help students achieve individual goals
Qualifications
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Previous experience supporting English in a secondary school setting
- Experience working with pupils with SEN, SEMH, ASC or behavioural needs is highly desirable
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
