Partou is one of Europe's largest providers of children's nurseries and is one of the biggest in the UK. Continuing its success story from mainland Europe, Partou entered the UK market in 2023 and has since become one of the biggest players in the UK children's nurseries market, running nurseries across the country. Headquartered in Manchester, Partou UK are seeking to grow and expand the business including investing in the Finance function where we are looking to transform and modernise the Finance function.
Purpose of the Role
Partou UK are looking for an experienced Finance Transformation Accountant to join the team. Supported by the Finance Transformation Lead, the successful candidate will plan and deliver transformation projects, which could cover any aspect of the Finance function's activities. The role holder will be hands-on, has demonstrated an ability to deliver change whether as part of a BAU role or in previous finance transformation roles. They will know 'what good looks like' and, working alongside the rest of the finance function, have the energy and drive to implement this for Partou UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Transformation Delivery
- Lead on embedding standard financial processes (e.g. PO, expenses, control accounts)
- Deliver agreed implementation of Unifi/SunCloud changes and new policies
- Identify control weaknesses, propose pragmatic solutions and deliver internal control improvements
- Be flexible in approach to support activities across all parts of Finance
- Knowledge Continuity
- Document and secure knowledge from the Finance Team
- Build resilience and contingency plans for key financial operations
- Be the leader for a given project or piece of work, bringing stakeholders with you on the journey by keeping them engaged and motivated.
- Manage risks proactively and take steps to mitigate them to deliver work on time and to cost and quality.
- Able to work independently but also know when to ask for help and to work together as a team.
- Able to make decisions by gathering the right information, analysing it appropriately but still able to move forwards even in the absence of complete information.
- Governance
- Structured in approach to their work with plans clearly laid out and summaries clearly articulated
- Keeps relevant stakeholders informed of all important matters related to their work
Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or CIMA)
- Proven experience delivering financial process and systems improvements in complex, multi-site organisations
- Understanding of business & finance processes (knows 'what good looks like') and experienced in managing change
- Strong stakeholder skills to liaise with FD, other business leaders and Group Finance
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent with Excel and handling large data sets
- Hands-on, proactive and able to build strong cross-functional relationships
