PERSONAL ASSISTANT REQUIRED IN RHYL
Location: RHYL (Family home & local community)
Hours: 3 hours per week; 6 hours per fortnightly or 12 hours per month (to be worked flexibly).
Rates: £13 per hour
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Personal Assistant to support our daughter to access community activities, build and develop social and life skills and improve her overall independence and wellbeing. Our daughter loves trains, spending time in the garden, colouring, music, TV and swimming. She has a diagnosis of Jacobsen syndrome and ADHD and requires support with daily living tasks. Our daughter is mobile around the home and uses a wheelchair whilst out in the community (as per activity). We would love to find a trusted responsible person to take our daughter out to different activities and groups such as swimming lessons and day trips within the local community. Ideally, we would like someone who can work set days but would be happy to be flexible and save/bank hours one week to provide extra support the next.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Driving licence and access to own vehicle (preferred)
- Experience of working with children
- Understanding or experience of using basic Makaton (desirable)
- First Aid Trained
