What You’ll Do
- Support young people with their daily routines: get them ready for school, prepare meal times and plan activities.
- Ensure our children receive the highest level of support.
- Support senior staff with timely updates.
- Promote individuality – a “one size fits all” approach is not acceptable.
- Complete and update care plans regularly, adding any additional requirements.
- Help maintain a warm, homely environment through light housekeeping.
- Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
- Plan and join fun activities such as trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects.
- Use an electronic care recording system daily to document, monitor and update children’s records accurately.
A Little About This Home
Laceby House is a 4‑bed detached house specifically adapted for up to four young people of either gender between the ages of 8 and 18. The young people here may have a range of learning, emotional, behavioural and social needs. They may also have a history of vulnerability related to sexual exploitation or influence by alcohol and/or illegal substances in their previous home lives. The home presents a friendly and homely atmosphere, guided by the children’s decorations and reflecting a family home where they feel safe, relaxed and cared for. Our staff work hard to lead the young people toward reaching their full potential and preparing them for future citizenship responsibilities. We offer a safe, stable, caring and nurturing environment that brings stability to their lives, enabling confidence, independence and responsible choices on a brighter path ahead.
