Shifts: Day shifts (rota-based, including weekends)

As a Day Support Worker, you will work directly with individuals to provide practical and emotional support, helping them move towards greater independence. You’ll build positive relationships, empower residents, and support them in achieving their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day support to residents within supported accommodation or community settings
  • Build trusting, professional relationships and act as a key worker where required
  • Support individuals to access services, appointments, education, training or employment
  • Assist with developing life skills such as budgeting, cooking and tenancy management
  • Deliver person‑centred support in line with individual support plans
  • Maintain accurate records, support plans and risk assessments
  • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive outcomes
  • Manage and de‑escalate challenging behaviours in a calm and supportive manner

About You

  • Experience in homelessness, mental health, addiction or a related field is desirable
  • Passion for supporting people to achieve independence and positive change
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload and work both independently and as part of a team
  • A compassionate, non‑judgmental approach
  • Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
