Staff in CT and MRI are welcoming and supportive of new members.

We are offering an opportunity for highly motivated Radiographers who wish to progress into Cross-Sectional Imaging or those who wish to further their skill set in these modalities.

We are based at Arrowe Park Hospital and the Clatterbridge Diagnostic Centre, which is located in Clatterbridge General Hospital.

The successful candidates will rotate through both sites.

Shift patterns include weekdays, weekends and nights.

We offer the opportunity to work full time hours over 3 extended days, which has been warmly received by the current staff highlighting an improved work-life balance.

Flexibility and the ability to work a range of shifts is essential.

Mentoring and induction schemes are offered to ensure new starters are aware of our working processes before undertaking any out of hours duties.

We recognise the importance of education and role extension.

We have CT radiographer lead Colonography service, MRI Radiographers reporting IOFB X-rays and have several radiographers reporting Chest and MSK plain film imaging within the Trust.

Many of our current team have undertaken further education supported by the department, this has included PGCerts and Postgraduate CPD modules in CT and MRI. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service and maintaining high standards of patient care.

You will be expected to:

Undertake complex, specialised radiological examinations.

Set and promote high standards of patient care.

Maintain a clean, tidy and appropriately equipped workspace.

Maintain the correct patient records and statutory radiation records.

Participate in CPD studies, QA programmes, audit and mandatory training.

Support the Principal Lead Radiographers in striving to provide a world-class service.

At Arrowe Park Hospital we have: 3 CT Canon scanners– Aquilion One Prism and 2 x Prime SP which have the most up-to-date AI iterative reconstruction software capabilities. 2 MRI Philips scanners- Ingenia
1.5T and a Helium-Free Ambition S
1.5T with advanced accelerated imaging software.

We expect a brand-new scanner to be operational by spring 2026 also.

  • an outpatient environment aimed at improving patient experience: 1 Canon Prime SP and 1 Philips Ingenia Ambition X
    1.5T. We undertake a wide variety of scanning including the following specialist services: CT
  • Trauma, Cardiac, Stroke and Colonography.

MRI

  • Paediatric GA lists, Pacemaker lists, small bowel and Breast imaging.
