An excellent opportunity has become available for a number of enthusiastic and committed pharmacy technicians to join our forward thinking team. We have ambitious plans for the future of our service and are looking for inspirational people to join us. You may be a pre-registration technician approaching qualification or an already registered pharmacy technician. You will play a vital role in our dynamic team, working with modern automated systems and being part of the introduction of the trust's new digital clinical system (DCS).

ResponsibilitiesThe role involves joining our team of pharmacy technicians working and gaining experience in areas such as the dispensary, clinical services, clinical trials, and stores. Working within the automated dispensary, you will dispense prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients including chemotherapy and clinical trials. Clinical service involvement provides pharmacy support at ward level including obtaining medication histories, patient counselling, and patient ‘one stop’ medication supply. The role also provides support to the procurement, homecare services, stores and the distribution side of our pharmacy service. By working in many areas of the pharmacy, you will gain valuable experience and develop your knowledge and skills.
QualificationsLevel 3 Pharmacy standard, or equivalent (or anticipated to complete the qualification in the next 3 months). To be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (or anticipated to register with the GPhC in the next 3 months). The hours of work for this position will be 37.5 hours per week, including weekend, late night and bank holiday rotas.
