Responsibilities

As Conference & Events Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional events and memorable guest experiences across our meetings, weddings, conferences and private functions at Crewe Hall. From corporate meetings and gala dinners to weddings and celebrations, you’ll ensure every event is delivered to the highest standard from set‑up through to service and close down. You’ll supervise and lead your team to deliver a high standard of guest experience in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring service is professional, friendly and efficient at all times. Working closely with the Conference & Events Manager and wider hotel teams, you’ll help coordinate the smooth running of events, ensuring rooms are prepared correctly, timings are managed effectively and guest expectations are consistently exceeded. Working together with your team, you’ll drive revenue opportunities through upselling food, beverages and promotions, ensuring all team members are confident and trained to maximise every guest interaction. You’ll also support with team training, coaching and development, helping to create a positive and motivated working environment.

Is this the role for me?

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a hospitality food & beverage or conference & events department
  • Ability of working in a professional, efficient, high quality, service‑oriented operation
  • Experience delivering weddings, conferences, banquets or large‑scale events is desirable
  • A good knowledge of wines, spirits and food service standards
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • A hands‑on approach with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Confidence in dealing with guest queries and resolving issues professionally and efficiently
  • Flexibility is required, as you’ll be involved in a variety of events across mornings, evenings and weekends, supporting the operation during busy periods and leading by example on the floor
