We are pleased to present an excellent opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join a reputable independent automotive service centre located in Cowbridge.

Our client, a well-established family‑run business operating since the 1950s, seeks a skilled Vehicle Technician to become a valued member of their team.

This is an ideal role for an experienced all‑rounder or diagnostic technician seeking a long‑term position with excellent career prospects.

Duties as a Vehicle Technician

  • Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
  • Complete all associated paperwork accurately and in accordance with company standards
  • Identify vehicle faults and performance issues, reporting findings to the Workshop Manager
  • Ensure that all work is completed to high‑quality standards, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Maintain the safety, reliability, and performance standards of the vehicles serviced
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by working collaboratively with workshop staff and front‑of‑house colleagues

Requirements

  • Competent Vehicle Technician with demonstrable experience in diagnostics and general repairs
  • Relevant qualifications such as IMI/NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair are advantageous but not essential for experienced time‑served technicians
  • Ideally, live within a reasonable commuting distance of Cowbridge
  • Strong organisational skills with a methodical approach to workload management
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality of workmanship
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in an independent service centre environment
  • An active MOT licence would be highly advantageous but is not mandatory
