Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one GCSE Maths and English lessons tailored to the specific needs of SEN students.
  • Adapt lesson content and teaching pace to support emotional regulation and individual learning styles.
  • Help students build their subject knowledge, develop study skills, and boost exam confidence.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to foster a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and track progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, or professionals as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring in Maths or English.
  • Experience working with SEN students in a one-on-one or small group setting.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo safeguarding and vetting checks.

Desirable Qualifications

  • PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience with students with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.

This is a flexible and manageable role designed to support students with additional needs.
