Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one GCSE Maths and English lessons tailored to the specific needs of SEN students.
- Adapt lesson content and teaching pace to support emotional regulation and individual learning styles.
- Help students build their subject knowledge, develop study skills, and boost exam confidence.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students to foster a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and track progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, or professionals as required.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring in Maths or English.
- Experience working with SEN students in a one-on-one or small group setting.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo safeguarding and vetting checks.
Desirable Qualifications
- PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience with students with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
This is a flexible and manageable role designed to support students with additional needs.
