ESS Employment are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established client for a Content & PR Executive to join their marketing team. This is a hands‑on role focused on shaping brand perception across the UK DIY and Trade markets through compelling content, PR activity, and real‑world project storytelling. You will work closely with internal marketing teams, external partners, and industry contacts to grow brand awareness, credibility, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and source trade and consumer‑led case studies.
- Produce PR content for trade, DIY, home, and lifestyle publications.
- Pitch stories, product launches, and expert commentary to editors.
- Develop content for social media, blogs, email campaigns, and digital platforms.
- Deliver SEO‑informed blog content via the website CMS.
- Build relationships with landscapers, builders, contractors, influencers, and ambassadors.
- Coordinate PR initiatives, product sampling, and collaborations.
- Track performance including coverage, backlinks, CTRs, and brand mentions.
- Monitor competitor activity and recommend strategic PR opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong creative writing and content creation skills.
- Experience in PR, copywriting, or content marketing (agency or in‑house).
- Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills.
- Experience using CMS platforms and email marketing tools.
- Proactive self‑starter with a creative mindset.
- Full, clean driving licence with access to a car.
- Comfortable working full‑time in the office as part of a collaborative team.
