We are looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join specialist schools across the North Cheshire area on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. You will support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and additional learning needs, helping to create a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities
- Support students with SEN, SEMH, and behavioural needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
Requirements
- Experience working within SEN, SEMH, or education settings preferred
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
- Passion for supporting children and young people
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle preferred
