We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer specialising in Design Consultancy, working within our Stafford based team you will play a crucial role in what we offer to our clients. At Entrust Property Services, we pride ourselves on being a one-stop solution for the design, procurement, and maintenance of buildings and services. As part of our dynamic in-house practice, we bring together architectural, surveying, engineering, and specialist building services expertise to deliver comprehensive, high-quality solutions across the schools property lifecycle.

Our Design Group is at the heart of this mission offering responsive, efficient, and professional consultancy services that support construction projects and property risk management. From capital design to resource management, we are committed to exceeding client expectations through exceptional service, technical excellence, and a collaborative approach ensuring that the schools in the Staffordshire area are receiving a world class design service. This is a hybrid role.

What you'll be doing:

  • The good design of the structural engineering content of the architectural, building and design projects from Inception to Completion, either on an individual basis or as part of a Project Team.
  • To assist the Senior Engineers and Principal Engineer in the determination of corporate policy on structural engineering matters.
  • To assist in ensuring that the structural engineering content of schemes is carried out within approved budgets and agreed time scales.
  • To assist the promotion and development of the highest quality of design and constructional standards for structural engineering with particular emphasis on value-for-money and cost-in-use, whilst assisting the Senior Engineers and Principal Engineer in ensuring compliance with the Client's requirements, current legislation and Codes of Practice.

What we're looking for:

  • Chartered Structural Engineer.
  • Possess knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act, Asbestos Regulations, COSHH, CDM and other legislation and regulations concerned with building and development.
  • Be capable of preparing detailed structural engineering drawings to a good standard.
  • Have a sound knowledge of structural engineering as it relates to general building construction.
  • Be capable of using computer aided design (CAD).
  • Proactive on-going personal development will be expected leading to membership of a relevant engineering institution and registration with The Engineering Council.

We'll work with clients across a range of other sectors including central government, health, and the private sector.
