We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our Metal Prep Department, playing a key role in producing high-quality components for the next stage of production. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working with machines, and thrives in a busy, hands-on environment.

Salary: £15.75ph plus shift allowance

Day Shifts: Monday-Friday, 6am-2pm

Afternoon Shifts: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm

40 hours per week

What you will be doing:

  • Operating CNC machines, including flatbed laser and tube laser, to produce components to specification.
  • Checking parts for accuracy and quality, ensuring all items are correctly labelled and ready for the next stage of production.
  • Following job bookings and machine assignments to keep production on schedule.
  • Identifying and reporting any issues with machines or jobs, helping to minimise downtime.
  • Working closely with Engineering and other departments to resolve queries as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working area.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in CNC machining or laser cutting.
  • Comfortable reading and working from engineering drawings.
  • Methodical, with strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive, with a hands-on approach and strong work ethic.
