Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist, up to 0.7 WTE EDC (remote). An opportunity has arisen within our team for an enthusiastic and highly motivated pharmacist with excellent communication skills to provide high quality Mental Health clinical pharmacy services. Applicants should be able to work within a team, be proactive and have a keen interest in mental health. Mental health experience is desirable but not essential; the successful applicant will be supported in obtaining the required knowledge once in post. There is no weekend/late night working other than remote on-call which you will participate in. Applicants must be registered pharmacists with the GPhC or due to register later this year.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate specialist mental health clinical pharmacy services as part of the CWP pharmacy team.
- Work as a member of the multidisciplinary team to ensure pharmaceutical care needs of patients are met and medicines management standards are upheld in all areas of the trust.
- Provide educational sessions on safe and effective medication use to medical and nursing staff, patients, and carers.
- Provide professional support and supervision to pre-registration and student pharmacists.
Qualifications & Experience
- Registered pharmacist with the GPhC (or expected to register before appointment).
- Working towards or completed clinical pharmacy postgraduate study, with well-developed clinical pharmacy skills.
- Desirable experience in mental health pharmacy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate the 6Cs of care: compassion, courage, communication, competence, and commitment.
