Opportunity at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the South West Cleft Service. The post-holder will learn and be exposed to all aspects of cleft care and would assist in a range of cleft outpatient and inpatient care.

Clinic Coverage: Outreach Clinics in Gloucester, Taunton, Exeter, Plymouth and Truro.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend all multidisciplinary clinics based at the hub unit in Bristol.
  • Attend peripheral clinics across the South West Region.
  • Assist operating lists at The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and The Bristol Royal Infirmary.
  • Fully participate in pre‑ and post‑operative care of patients on the operating lists.
  • Manage clinics for children and adults with 22q11 deletion, nasendoscopy, videofluoroscopy speech investigation, facial deformity and craniofacial deformities.

Research Opportunity: The post-holder would also be encouraged to undertake research with the Cleft collective at the University of Bristol if they wished.
