About the Role
Bridgend County Borough Council is looking for a proactive Cleaner Streets Operative to get hands-on and keep our local environment safe and beautiful. You won't be stuck behind a desk—you'll be out in the community making a real impact every day.
What You’ll Do
- Keep it Clean: Remove litter, empty bins, and clear dog mess.
- Tackle Hazards: Clear fly-tipped waste (furniture, electricals, hazards) and remove graffiti.
- Emergency Response: Clear blocked culverts and assist during extreme weather (snow, ice, flooding).
- Engage: Communicate friendly and effectively with the public while on duty.
What You Need
- Previous experience in a physical, manual working role.
- Good road safety awareness and an understanding of why a clean environment matters.
- A reliable, proactive attitude with great teamwork and communication skills.
