Role Overview

You will be responsible for carrying out cleaning and related duties within an educational setting, ensuring all work meets the required service standards and follows the designated cleaning schedule. You will work independently, with guidance and support from the Cleaning Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Cleaning Duties
    • Clean designated areas of the school as assigned by the Cleaning Supervisor
    • Follow cleaning schedules and service specifications
    • Use cleaning materials and equipment as instructed
  • Floor & Surface Cleaning
    • Vacuum hard and soft floors
    • Mop and spray clean hard floor surfaces
    • Spot clean spillages
    • Wipe and polish furniture and surfaces
    • Clean ledges, pipes, paintwork, and doors
    • Polish door glass
  • Waste & Hygiene
    • Empty and clean bins
    • Clean toilets, including sanitary fittings and surrounding areas
    • Replenish janitorial supplies (e.g. soap, paper products)
  • Equipment Use
    • Operate cleaning machinery such as vacuum cleaners and floor polishers
  • Site Responsibilities
    • Check and close windows after cleaning
    • Switch off lights when work is complete
    • Report any defects or hazards immediately to the Supervisor or Site Manager

Uniform

Non-branded black t-shirt, dark colour trousers and non-slip safety shoes. Ensure you bring a black warm jumper in case it is cold on site. Tabard will be provided on site.
