About the Role: As a Class 1 Driver, you’ll play a key role in the smooth, efficient movement of palletised freight across our network. Operating a curtain‑side trailer to trunk palletised goods from our Shepton Mallet depot to pallet‑network hubs in the West Midlands, before reloading back to Shepton Mallet. Providing internal trunking support where required, including accurately verifying freight against the manifest at each depot stop. Taking advantage of opportunities to gain additional certifications, including LST (Longer Semi‑Trailer) and ADR during your employment. Ensuring all goods are safely loaded, secured, and protected, using straps, nets, and other appropriate securing equipment. Completing daily vehicle safety checks via your company mobile device to maintain the highest standards of safety and reliability. Maintaining regular communication with the Transport Team, keeping them updated on progress and helping ensure excellent customer service. Attending ongoing training and development sessions to stay up to date with industry standards and best practice.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- UK Class 1 (CE) Licence
- Valid DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
