About this job

Class 1 Driver – Collections & Delivery at Pallet Networks, Shepton Mallet.

Shift: Monday to Friday, with a Saturday rota of one Saturday in ten, paid at £20 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 4 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Use a curtain side vehicle to make multi-drop palletised deliveries around the South West.
  • Ensure goods are loaded and secured legally and safely.
  • Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using a company phone.
  • Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates and meet customer expectations.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay up to date with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
  • Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience delivering directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.

  • Competitive salary: £16 per hour for 48 hours minimum (£768 per week).
  • Overtime pay at £16 per hour for hours over 48 in a week.
  • Saturdays paid at £20 per hour.
