Manage the safe and effective delivery of civil and electrical infrastructure works across single or multiple sites, ensuring full compliance with CDM Regulations 2015, health and safety legislation, company procedures, and client requirements.

Actively operate SMSTS and fulfil Principal Contractor duties where applicable, maintaining strong oversight of site safety, quality, and environmental standards through regular inspections, audits, and leadership activities.

Plan, manage, and monitor civil and electrical works, maintaining technical oversight of electrical installations alongside detailed civil construction knowledge to meet programme, quality, and cost objectives.

Coordinate, lead, and challenge subcontractors and site teams to ensure competence, compliance, performance, and timely resolution of delays, defects, and inefficiencies.

Prepare, review, and maintain all required site documentation and act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, DNOs, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and smooth project delivery.

Person Specification

  • SMSTS qualification (in date).
  • Excellent working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Proven experience managing civil and electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Strong civil construction knowledge with an effective overview of electrical works.
  • Experience managing contractors across multiple sites.
  • High level of competence in construction documentation and reporting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Proactive, safety-focused, and confident in challenging non-compliance.

Health and Safety responsibilities

  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and/or via your divisional incident reporting system.
