The branch currently covers the Rhondda Fach area. This is a great opportunity for those looking to take the next step in their career. Overview
About the role: As a Care Co-ordinator you will be required to schedule and allocate work to a team of Care Workers on a daily/weekly basis. You will be providing supervision and support to Care Workers and Field Supervisors. The role will involve liaising with Social Services and all other social and health care professionals involved in the care of service users. There will also be an opportunity to take part in the recruitment and selection of potential employees. The role will also involve performing duties of a Care Worker when required and participating in the out of hours on-call service. This role is a contract of 37.5 hours with working typically between the hours of 09:00 - 17:00 weekdays; however, there may be times outside of these hours depending on operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and allocate work to a team of Care Workers on a daily/weekly basis.
- Provide supervision and support to Care Workers and Field Supervisors.
- Liaise with Social Services and other social/health care professionals involved in the care of service users.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of potential employees.
- Perform duties of a Care Worker when required and participate in the out of hours on-call service.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have at least 1-2 years of experience in the social care sector. Previous experience as a Care Coordinator, Senior Care Worker or Team Leader would be advantageous. The successful candidate would also need to drive and have access to a vehicle.
