Glevum Security Ltd is currently recruiting a Relief Security Officer to work in Cinderford. This is a part-time, permanent role working within an abattoir environment, providing cover for holidays, sickness, and additional site requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring access to the site
  • Carrying out regular patrols
  • Checking vehicles and visitors in and out
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Reporting incidents
  • Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed at all times

Shift Pattern: Flexible shifts available 12-hour shifts – days, nights, and weekends as required. Overtime opportunities available.

  • Controlling access and monitoring site entry/exit points
  • Conducting regular patrols
  • Carrying out animal welfare checks (full training provided)
  • Monitoring and recording weighbridge operations for vehicles
  • Logging vehicle movements and site activity
  • Responding to incidents and maintaining accurate reports

Important: This role is based in a working abattoir. Live animals are regularly brought onto site for slaughter and processing, so applicants must be comfortable working in this environment.

  • Valid SIA Licence (required)
