Responsibilities:
- Supporting with the client’s evening routine.
- Assisting with removing and applying continence pads.
- Assisting the client to prepare prescribed medication in a pot and measuring cough meds (no administration required).
- Assisting to apply cream on legs.
- Assisting to change from day clothes into nightwear.
- Selecting and laying out clothes for the following day.
- Assisting to prepare bed time drink.
- Occasionally assisting with household tasks such as loading/unloading dishwasher and washing machine.
Qualifications:
- Having a caring, proactive and motivated attitude with a passion for supporting others.
- Positive attitude and good work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience desirable but not essential.
- Dog friendly, as there is a young, very friendly Border Terrier in the house.
- Ability to commit to part or all of the required hours between 7 pm and no later than 9 pm.
Hours & Pay:
- This is a part-time position for 7 hours per week, typically 1 hour per day Mon‑Sun (bed call).
- The client is open to applicants who can commit to part or all of these hours but the hours should take place between 7 pm and no later than 9 pm.
- Hourly rate of £12.71 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and a workplace pension scheme.
