Within our Head Office, based in Chipping Sodbury, we are looking for a Finance Assistant to be part of a small team that makes a big difference. You will be joining a thriving and established General Ledger team, where quality and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with the business to provide support, find solutions, and support the Supervisor with the successful management of the accounts.
Responsibilities
- Timely and accurate production of the management and statutory accounts, including performing balance sheet reconciliations
- Costing and reconciling expenses
- Updating the cashbook; processing sundry payments and cash receipts
- Completing variance analysis of cost compared to forecast and budget
- Producing schedules of nominal ledger costs
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and conducting fixed asset audits
- Costing consolidated invoices
- Consolidating stock take returns
- Preparation and analysis of financial reports
- Additional finance support responsibilities, including supporting the annual audit
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Finance Assistant role is essential
- Strong eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and highlighting risk
- Drive to provide efficient solutions
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
- Communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external customers; team player
- AAT desirable (could be part qualified) but not essential
