Qualifications

  • Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  • Physical fitness: able to walk 20,000 steps per day, get in and out of a van, and carry a mailbag of up to 16 kg.
  • Adaptable and able to work shifts that can vary; team player who can adapt at short notice.
  • Pass a driving assessment at start of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the face of Royal Mail in the community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered, come rain or shine.
  • Drive around delivery area, completing parts of route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring safety of all items.
  • Operate the Royal Mail van throughout the shift.

Pay & Shifts

  • Day shift (Starts 05:01 – 19:59): £13.07
  • Early starts (05:01 – 05:30): £13.96
  • Evening finishes (20:00 – 21:39): £13.74
  • Late finishes (21:40 – 01:59): £14.48
  • Overtime (over 40 hours) – Monday (full rate card provided upon application).

While this role is temporary, there may be potential for it to become permanent.
