We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join an Ofsted 'GOOD' Provider, friendly early years team in Chester. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

About the Role

Hours of work: Full time, Monday – Friday. As a Nursery Room Leader, you will take responsibility for leading a nursery room, supporting staff, and ensuring high standards of care and education for children aged. You will work closely with the management team to create engaging learning experiences that promote every child’s development and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily running of the nursery room
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Support children’s emotional, social, and educational development
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers
  • Supervise and support nursery practitioners within the room
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
  • Observe, assess, and record children’s progress
  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are always met

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare (or above)
  • Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Qualification (desirable)
  • English GCSE grade C/4 (if qualified after Sept 2014)
  • Previous experience working in a nursery setting
  • Experience leading or supervising a team is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A warm, positive, and proactive attitude

All roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS and two satisfactory references. You must have a clear enhanced DBS certificate to be considered for this role.
