We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated clinical support worker with a specialist interest in working with young people with eating disorders. The role is based on Sapphire Ward at Ancora House – a 4‑bedded inpatient unit (aged 13‑18) that is part of the Tier 4 Specialist Eating Disorder Service.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and promote a therapeutic relationship with service users.
- Play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the unit, including practical meal support, physical health observations and therapeutic group delivery.
- Work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and assist with all aspects of clinical ward duties.
- Support individualised patient care plans, as required by senior staff.
- Work flexible shift patterns, including days, nights and weekends.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Experience as a clinical support worker in a healthcare or community setting.
- Interest and experience working with young people with eating disorders or similar mental health conditions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to undertake additional training under the Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme.
